Doug is a writer and performer based in Leicester. He gained a degree in Creative Writing and Drama and has since gone on to write and co-produce critically acclaimed one woman show 'Mine'.
He regularly performs with the touring improvisation group, The Same Faces and has helped write music for a number of musicals. He is also a spoken word performer and was part of the 2017 Roundhouse Poetry Collective.
Maisie has worked as an actress for the last 10 years with experience in both theatre and film. She spent three and a half years living and working in New Zealand and is a member of The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. She took the sole part in the companies production of 'Mine' during its touring life and is now developing the show to perform in schools and through local community outreach programs. She works as a freelance performer, currently living in London but was born in Derby. She is represented by Golding Talent Agency.
Kathryn is a Leicester based Theatre Director and creates work throughout the Midlands. Credits include ‘A Clockwork Orange’ at Curve Theatre, Leicester; ‘Mine’ at various locations and ‘Equus’ at The Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester. Kathryn is co-founder and director of East Midlands based theatre company Four Wheeled Theatre. She is a member of the JMK group at Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
Thomas is a graduate of De Montfort University, Leicester and directed the 2016 run of 'Mine' at Edinburgh Fringe. He recently added to his study of theatre though a foundation course in acting at Oxford School of Drama. His directorial experience prior to joining Put The Book Down includes directing in the 14/48 Leicester Festival.
